Our Commitments

Construction

Our purpose

To demonstrate and extend the potential of renewable energy for present and future generations.

We strongly encourage local participation in each of our projects. In Gesves, for example, we collaborated with the students of five schools during the entire development and construction phase to raise awareness about renewable energy and wind power. The didactic panels created by the students can now be seen by all passersby.

Our vision

To develop renewable energy projects that can be integrated sustainably in communities.

In line with our environmental policy, we aim to reconcile renewable energy and sustainable development, we have taken several measures to protect the local biodiversity.

In Bièvre, for example, we have created new areas favourable to the black stork whose habitat was impacted by the wind farm. We reduced the coniferous trees at the bottom of the valley to transform it into new wetlands which provides them a new habitat.

Bat Protection

For our wind farms in Dilsen and Gesves, we have set up automated systems enabling the turbines to stop when a certain set of paramaters are reached (season, temperature, wind level) to minimize the impact on birds and bats' activity.

We also testing an innovative technology system named ProBat, developed by the company Sens Of Life. Thanks to sophisticated microphones, the system has allowed us to accurately record the activity of 6 bat species near our Gesves wind farm.

Our promise

To support the energy and environmental transition of territories and communities.

In Roquefort, we -together with the local stakeholders- are developing a solar project on a former paper mill wasteland thereby repurposing this area into a useful energy resource.
